Two matron of honors

Amanda, on January 1, 2023 at 3:37 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 2
I am planning to ask my two best friends to be my matron of honors. I am not sure what's the right way to go. Should I discuss with them that there will be two matron of honors before I propose to them? Or can I just surprise them with my proposal boxes without consulting with them first? My best friends know of each other but they are from two different group of friends I have. What would you say is the right way to go about proposing two matron of honours?

Just ask them each, individually, if they'd like to be co-matrons of honor. Don't spring proposal boxes on people, because it makes it difficult for them to say no and being in a wedding is a big commitment.

I agree with Becky. Just ask each in private if they'd like to be in the wedding party. It's fine to have two matrons of honour, and I'd let them know at the time you ask.
