Two dresses? Reception dress and wedding dress

I keep hearing about the 2 dress thing. Who is getting 2 dresses? I feel like joining the trend, but im not sure about having on 2 different dresses in photos. what's your opinion?

I plan on wearing my dress during reception as well. Although, my mom gave me a great idea to buy a reception dress and keep the tags on. That way I have it if I want to change, but if not I'll just return it if I don't wear it!
