Tweed Suit?

Sarah, on November 10, 2014 at 11:06 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

Hey everyone! Has anyone's fiance wanted a tweed suit and did you end up getting one and where? My fiance has his heart set on a tan tweed suit for our mountain wedding. Smiley smile

You are a good (almost) wife. I think I would say "are you sure?" Anyway, I saw some at Men's Wearhouse yesterday

The one thing I would be worried about is what the weather will be like. . . tweed suiting is generally designed for colder climates. . . .

I don't really have any advice for finding one. My fh actually had the opposite opinion on tweed. I told him I thought grey would look nice with the navy bridesmaids dresses. He was worried I meant tweed and said hell no.

Maybe a big brand store than has lots of options. And you'll probably have better luck finding one during the fall or winter.

I initially really wanted my groom in tweed and did a lot of searching...

We ended up going with herringbone and I have had to piece it together but I like the look.

Ebay? I found a lot of tweed on there when I was looking or if your in a bigger city check used clothing or vintage stores.

    ASOS.com also has tweed suits

Let us know what you find. Smiley smile

I actually am leaning towards a regular tan suit with a tweed vest maybe. LIke this look....

He will take his jacket off after the ceremony. and I think this look is great for a day wedding up in the mountains.

NOrthern MN, I looked up ASOS. and good pricing and they are cute! I will have to show him that. Also good pricing for his best man as well. I'll keep you posted!
