Turned in marriage license later than 10 days after the wedding

Pete, on November 11, 2017 at 1:18 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

Hi All,

What should I do if the marriage license is turned in later than 10 days after the wedding? Is it going to be valid or should I be worried about it? I am in California btw.

Thanks!

90 days until the license expires. The license needs to be turned in to the clerk within 10 days after the ceremony.

You should probably try calling your clerk or county office to see a) when it expires for sure and b) what to do if it is indeed expired.
