Trying to plan a wedding and a family simultaneously amid Covid-19?

Maya, on May 29, 2020 at 11:28 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3
My fiancé and I were set to get married on May 2nd, 2020 before this all started. We had hoped to start trying to conceive this summer. Covid-19 changed our plans, so we postponed our wedding to aug 29th, 2020. At this point we are in the process of postponing again- I go back and forth between November 2020 or next year. The thing is, we don’t want to wait till next year to start trying to conceive. Anyone else in a similar situation? I am in my 30’s so I am on a bit of a time clock.

I would talk to a doctor. About your time clock but also about trying to conceive before a vaccine is available.

I’m also in my 30s and had plans to conceive a month ago.

My doctor recommended we wait until there’s more information on what COVID does to a mother and baby. We had spoken back in March and decided to play it by ear, probably trying now in June. However, I’m still a little uncertain and just ordered another month of birth control. I’m still taking my prenatal vitamins and figure we should wait another couple of months just to be safe. I don’t think I want to try to conceive next year, but we will see...
