Hi guys 😍 So in a few days I’m going to be trying on wedding dresses for the first time ever and I’m extremely excited. I’ve been watching a few videos of other people trying on dresses on YouTube and I’ve noticed that a lot of people have on makeup while trying them on. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love makeup but I’m scared that I’m going to have it all over the dresses. What do you guys think about wearing makeup while trying on wedding dresses? And do you guys have any tips when it comes going dress shopping?
Thanks 😀😀

I agree with this...pretty much what I was going to say. Experiencing trying on dresses myself, with make up on, there were no issues with getting it on the dresses. I think you will be okay, if you decide to rock your makeup on your appointment Smiley smile

I wouldn't worry about getting makeup on the dresses, you step into the dresses, you don't pull them over your head. But I didn't wear any when I went, because I don't very often! I would make sure you eat before, because it's tiring. Bring water too! And take lots of pictures so you can see yourself in the dress.

Yes, this exactly. And even though I tried on several different styles of dress, every single one I stepped into, rather than pulling it over my head. So makeup should not be an issue at all, unless you touch your face a lot and get it on your hands.

I did light makeup and fixed up my hair, so I would have a better idea of how I would actually look on my wedding day. Also, I knew my girls would be taking pictures, and the last thing I wanted was pics of me with no makeup and a messy bun!! Just do what feels comfortable to you.

I just wore the regular makeup that I do every day! for all the dresses I tried on I stepped into them and pulled them up so it wasn't like anything was going over my head. I definitely didn't get makeup on anything. Also, depending on where you go most of the places do not let you buy the floor models because they are to be tried on by lots of brides so even if you did get makeup on the dress it wouldn't be the end of the world?

Okay, so I might be a little "extra" but when I went dress shopping, I purposely did my makeup and hair extra nice- a "trial" of sorts. I wanted to see what I actually might look like on my wedding day, dress, spanx, makeup and hair done. Wear nude undies or spanx, and be open to trying things you might not have been interested in originally!

I saw so many dresses at the bridal shop that had makeup all over them (and I went to a very high end place) - it grossed me out, and that is from someone who LOVES a full face!

I didn't wear makeup to any of my shopping trips - but I probably will when I go to my fittings since that is my dress.

I wore my full coverage glam makeup because I wanted to picture how I would look/feel on my wedding day Smiley smile (if you arent doing full glam and are going for natural beauty go natural) it really doesn't matter. however you feel the most beautiful is all I can say. I am comfortable without makeup but feel like myself with it on. I am so into makeup its a part of who I am at this point Smiley tongue
