Trilingual Wedding - translator?

Maria, on July 23, 2022 at 5:16 PM Posted in Planning 1 4
Looking for advice or tips. My fiancé’s parents speak Cantonese only and my grandmother and some of my other family members speak Spanish only. Wondering how I can make our ceremony understood by both sides. I can get a bilingual officiant, but I feel I’d leave out one side of the family. Maybe I could use translators? Any advice on what you would do on your special day? Thanks!

Is it possible to have a translator only for your fiancé parents and the officiant bilingual? I think if you were to have two it could delay the ceremony as you’d have to have them say everything twice. The translator can sit with your fiancé parents to make it easier for them. You might also be able to ask the translator the best option as well.

Some people have programs that translate what's going on if that's an idea you'd be ok with.
