Train Petticoat/crinoline?

Shelby, on September 6, 2019 at 3:21 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
I have a tulle ball gown with a train and I want to add some fullness to it. I didn’t know train petticoats were a thing but I can’t seem to find any good pictures of how they look under a dress. Has anyone used one of these and if so, how was it? Any other recommendations of good quality ballgown petticoats/crinolines? TIA!

I haven't seen these before but I wonder how it work with your bustle?

I bought this EXACT petticoat; however, I've decided not to use it. I will tell you that the boning is very flimsy. So if the weight of your skirt is not evenly distributed (i.e. you have a bustle or heavier overskirt), this thing will buckle and do odd things. I have "curtained" front on my dress and the overskirt is heavier. So it pushed down on the hoops in the back and sides, forcing the boning way out in the front.

    Hey Shelby!

I think it would be a good idea to try one on with your dress specifically to see how it will alter the way it falls and the silhouette.

Does the bridal salon where you got your dress have train petticoats that you could try on during your next fitting? Alternatively, could you get one from a store with a good return policy and bring it to your next fitting to try on?
