Train Extender Help 1
Hi! Looking for some help! I bought this beautiful Maggie Sottero train extender several months ago when I purchased my wedding dress. I was alone, and the bridal shop ladies really sold me on adding a little something extra to the bottom of my gown. Now that I am a couple months out from my wedding and doing alterations, I realize how much I just don't like it, or feel like it fits with my gown. The train extenders that I have seen that I like, the design is touching the bottom of the gown, whereas this just seems to have too much space. I don't think an alteration would be possible. What do you think? If not, at this point, I would just like to give it to a new home. I spent several hundred dollars on it so it is very upsetting to me that it may just go to waste. However, I cannot find much of the resell wedding websites that market to these train extenders. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you so much!

Is that how it looks attached? I think it would look better if it was like, sewn onto the end of the dress. I would think most places that do alterations could do this?

Have you talked to a seamstress about attaching it where you want it vs where it's at now? I can't imagine that would be too difficult. Seamstresses do alterations like shortening, adding sleeves, and other similar fixes fairly frequently. That being said, if you're not a fan of it you could try to resell it. The shop you bought it from may even be able to take a return to try to sell it off the rack. There's also places like Stillwhite, Facebook Marketplace, etc. you could try.

I had alterations done and he added several button clasps to where it's "together" but I still feel it just looks like an awkward transition between fabrics. I wish it almost looked a little more like below where the design comes right up to the fabric.Train Extender Help 2

So the alterations still looks like your first pic and not this last one? Because this last pic you posted looks GORGEOUS!
