My FH and I are putting together a fight box so we have a box that fits a bottle of wine and love letters

This is so funny because I’m a wine drinker and FH is a whiskey drinker and now I want to do this 😂

OMG!!! I would be so down to do that! I told my FH last night about it but I think he was half asleep. Or at least that's how he looked! Now for some research

We're considering the same thing! We collect Christmas ornaments so we thought about turning the glass into two ornaments!

That would be amazing. We started buying an ornament for our tree once we moved in together. This year we get to buy the just married one. I am now considering making one if our local glass studio does classes again.

I love the love letter idea! That would be perfect and simple! May I ask though, what is hand fasting and a ring warming ceremony?

We do ornaments every year. We take his 8 year old and he picks it out. And then we get one for us. So we have many *family* ornaments and *us* ornaments.

I love handfasting! I kind of wish FH was into it.

Also, I like the idea of planting something together.

“Tying the knot” comes from Handfasting. B&G’s hands are tied together with a special cord. It’s basically the unity of your souls.
Ring Warming is guests all get to hold your rings and bless them with good wishes for your marriage.

Sorry I don’t think I answered this. We have a small wedding and everyone is sitting in a circle around us so the ring warming will be happening while we do our handfasting.

FH and I are probably going to do handfasting because we both have Irish roots but almost nobody remembers this long forgotten tradition. It's where "tying the knot" comes from.

These are all great ideas ladies. He still doesn't know what he wants to do, hahaha! I am sure after our move (we move in 3 weeks) things will change.

You both write 3 or 5 things that you'd like out of your marriage, they can be silly like "I promise to always take out the trash if you promise to always kill the spiders in the house" and then both sign it and display it in your home Smiley smile

Sorry, no ideas here. We went with an additional handfasting ritual. It was really nice and unique to us.

We went to a wedding where they each brought a jar of dirt from their hometown and blended it into a tree pot.
