FH and I have been engaged since January and the wedding isn't until 10/2020. I`ve been mildly planning here and there. buying stuff for DIYs and getting basic ideas for what i want but TBH everyone seems a little uninterested and I`m wondering if its because its so far away? maybe i talk about it...

Also I am not sure if its too soon to pick things out or anything maybe a little overwhelmed. not 100% on what im doing here.

We got engaged on Christmas 2018 and we had our venue booked and I had my dress found by February 2019, we’re not getting married until next October like you! We’ve gotten so many other things figured out before we even hit the one year until our wedding mark(food, flowers, photographer, dj), and to me that feels great. My brother in particular kept saying it was too soon back then but honestly, time flies!

If you makes you happy, go for it, as a person with anxiety having this much figured out a year before the wedding has made me feel so at ease. Do your thing, don’t let anybody yuck your yum.

We are date twins! lol but Not too soon. I started planning last year in July 2018. We Got about 98% of the larger vendors out of the way and made smaller payments. This Thursday is 365. You should start planning now and starting getting ideas for venue, colors, you r dress etcc. I plan to go dress shopping in December or Jan of 2020.

Girl! Keep doing what you're doing!!! My FH proposed in December last year. Our wedding is April of next year and I started doing stuff right away. And the thing is, I'm still no where near where I need to be. Time flies!! I started at 400+ days now I'm down to 197 and starting to panic. Don't let people talk you out of doing anything. And you're not talking about it to much. If you think you are, then talk to your MOH. That's what she's there for. To be there for you and to assist you. Congratulations and most of all, HAVE FUN!!

I wouldn't take people being uninterested as a sign it's too early, it is just that no one will be as interested as you. Now is the time to look for sales, or as autumn ends and winter begins!
