Hello everyone! FH husband and I made our registry the other day. At first we didn't think we needed much, but after looking around we realized we need/wanted more stuff then we thought! Hello everyone! FH husband and I made our registry the other day. At first we didn't think we needed much, but after looking around we realized we need/wanted more stuff then we thought! We have 103 items on the registry. The most expensive thing is $154 and the next is $80. We invite 125 people, but is that too much stuff to put on a registry? Is $154 way too much money? Should we cut it down a bit? Thanks Smiley smile

Yay @Patricia I'm not the only former register-maker from BBB!

BBB does recommend 2.5 gifts per person, because it ups their chances of a sale. that being said, register for whatever you want and/or need. register for something funky and fun that you wouldn't normal buy for yourself!

if you don't get it, oh well. you can buy it on your own. unfortunately BBB only offers couples 10% as a registry completion coupon but if you register for coupons or move you could get a 20% off everything coupon and do one big shop.

registries can be hard to make. you want enough to cover the shower and wedding for people who like to buy gifts but you don't want to seem greedy. there is a fine line. I've seen registries for a weddingon 150 with over over 500 gifts (thousandssss of dollars worth of stuff). I've also seen onces much smaller.

ours is around 45 gifts for 150 invited guests at this point. and two bridal showers will happen also.
