Too early for save the dates?

My wedding is in July. I do live in a different city and state from my family. I wanted to just give them a heads up like hey there will be a wedding on this day in this city. Is it too early to send out save the dates? Wedding is 7 months away exactly

It's not too early at all! We had a July wedding on a Friday with a lot of people traveling so we sent them 11 months early. Guests really appreciated the heads up, especially those with jobs that require you to submit time off requests for the year in January.

50% of our guests live in other states so we sent ours 10 months out!

It's definitely not too early!

We're getting married in July and our STDs went out in September. We're in a different state than most of the guests so we wanted to give them plenty of notice.

We sent ours 8 months early since our wedding was in a different city about 4 hours from where both of our families are from. It made it so much easier for our families to plan to be there.
