Soooo I'm not sure I'm a tomboy really just depends on your definition. I'm a real jeans and tshirt kind of girl. I would get married in pants if my FH weren't so adamant about me wearing a dress. I get it and I have a dress that I'm happy with. I really liked it when I put it on. It was comfortable...

It was comfortable and flattering. Here's the issue. Like I said I don't generally wear dresses and terrified of tripping and falling or doing something else to make a complete ass out of myself. Advice?

Thanks you guys. I will probably wear it around a bit this weekend and see how it goes. I definitely like the idea of wearing leggings underneath. I do have one more question for you guys though if you could help. I know I will have to steam this thing again before the wedding. I'm not really interested in taking it back to David's Bridal for them to do it. While I love the dress the experience I had with them left a lot to be desired. Sooo should I like buy a cheap steamer and do it myself or take it to the cleaners or what?

Also I forgot to say that during my alterations appointment, we added a cute belt. Not that it's relevant to the conversation I just wanted you guys to see it.

Have you tried on dresses to see if you like them? Maybe tea length would help with the tripping fear. That said, I agree that you should wear what you feel comfortable in!

Oh sorry OP - I see that you have your dress already which is amazingly beautiful! I agree to wear comfy shoes, make sure it's hemmed appropriately, and maybe try wearing a dress here and there from now until then to get used to it?

FutureMrsWhite, we are DRESS TWINS! It looks amazing on you! I saved the dress online like ten times like wow I must really like this dress! Lol.

Make sure you get the skirt underneath it! I tried it on with and without and it made a HUGE difference

OP we are dress twins! I fell in love with the pockets. I would definitely take it somewhere to get it steamed. I steamed mine myself before my bridals and couldn't get all the wrinkles out with my steamer. If you have even an MW cleaners near you, I think they steam wedding dresses.

Your dress is beautiful! Love the belt too. Totally agree with PP that wearing it some now will help make you more comfortable.

As for your last question, I'd take it to a good dry cleaner to have it steamed. You wouldn't want to ruin it day of with a cheap steamer that blows black gunk out (yes, that happened to me and a shirt before a job interview!)

If I could wear yoga pants to my wedding, I would! So I feel you!

The dress looks GREAT on you though! And the pockets are an awesome touch! You're going to look fabulous on your big day!

Funny it's apparently a very popular dress! I know why though. It is absolutely the most comfortable dress I put on. Which is good for a tomboy. And I actually got a ball gown slip to wear underneath which the alterations lady said would help with my comfort and moving around.

Yes! That is the same slip I got. It made such a difference just walking around the store.

    Your dress is gorgeous!

I would definitely wear both the dress and the wedges around the house so you'll get used to them.

I've heard of many people who break in their shoes while they do light house work, like vacuuming and such.

IKR!!! The pockets are even big enough to hold my gigantic cellphone! I can put just about anything in there. It's awesome. So no other comments on steaming it myself the day before? Yay or nay?

The dress is beautiful. Once you get it hemmed to the correct length you shouldnt have to worry about tripping

Be careful about switching shoes. Your dress can only be hemmed to one length, if you wear taller wedges and then swap to flats your dress may be too long!
