Everything, including you were beautiful. You did an excellent job on your hair and your dress is very pretty. Every moment has a story and years later you'll look back at this iconic photo and remember why you had an intimate ceremony such as many wedding ceremonies that took place in the 40s, post war ... Our great grandparents did the same thing. There's beauty in EVERYTHING. This wasn't 'thrown together', rather it was a memorable moment of love shared with parents and most importantly, your husband and the photo says it all. I'm so happy you found the love of your life.
