To veill or not to veil?

I am so on the fence about whether I want to wear a veil or not. What made you decide for or against a veil?

Yeah, that's what I keep thinking to, and why I haven't completely decided on no. If I do wear one, I think I would do the same thing, only wear it for the ceremony.

Yes, I definitely don't want to spend a lot of money on one. I was thinking of buying a couple cheap styles off Amazon (I have prime, so free shipping and returns) to at least see if there's a style that I like, and then I'll have a better idea which direction to go.

That's what happened to my sister when she got married. She was completely on the "no" side...until he tried one on at the bridal shop and it made her change her mind.

Yeah, I didn't even think about the heat of the day as a factor! Thanks for that insight!

I tried on a veil and I felt like I was a little girl playing dress-up, and not like a woman about to get married. I decided on hair combs instead. When I saw them and tried them on, I could actually see myself getting married.

Huge fan of veils, they make for so many beautiful photo opportunities. I only wore mine for the ceremony and then ditched it. You only get one chance and it really does complete the vision!

My mom used to make me wear veils to church when I was little and I had one at my communion (I was raised catholic). I've never been a fan of them, she begged me to try one on with my dress and I hated it. I'm going to have my hair down during the ceremony and up at the reception, with some rhinestone/pearl accessories

I figured there would be no other time I get to wear one, so I decided on a veil. I got a long cathedral veil too.

I'm getting a crown instead of a veil. I'd be worried about a veil not going up properly

I'm going to have one of those throw-over ones. I have just never been able to imagine getting married without one.

My mom wore one and she looked like an absolute princess , so I always had a vision of my me with a long flowy veil because I am getting a ball gown dress.
