To resize...or not to resize!

Hi all! So I've had my ering for about 4 months now and I'm trying to decide if I should get it resized or not. Hi all! So I've had my ering for about 4 months now and I'm trying to decide if I should get it resized or not. Throughout the day, my ering twirls around, slides up towards my knuckle, and feels like it will come off when I get my hands wet (though it hasn't *knocks on wood*). Only reason why I haven't resized it yet is because I hear you need to get it made a half size larger with a wedding band.

I've attached a pic of how far the ring moves up quite easily without any pulling. To get it off, I bend my finger and it twists off...unless I've just woken up or have been laying down for a little. My biggest fear is that I get it resized and it's too small! I think Kay's only offers half size resizing...anyone know if they do quarter sizes too???

Thanks in advance for your help!

Gabriella, I went with 4.25+ for both wedding band and engagement ring. A little loose now but with the band it is very comfortable. Smiley smile

Kay's does quarter sizing. I had to adjust mine.

If you are worried about how it will fit with the wedding band, I suggest going with a spacer for now. You can then get it resized after you are married if it still feels loose.

Just go try on wedding bands. If it still slips, have them size your finger with the wedding band on and have it properly adjusted. Don't send it off to have it sized. Find a local jeweler/jewelry repair shop that does it in-house.

Resize it. Mine was doing the exact same thing as you. Our local jeweler was able to size it down a half or quarter (cant remember which) size and now its fine.

Mine e-ring fits similarly, and adding my wedding band didn't do anything even though it's a quarter size smaller.

Yes resize. I had the same gap with my ring and it made me so nervous!

Beautiful ring btw. Team yellow gold all the way!

Go to Kay and have them measure your finger. They should be able to do a quarter size but you may need a half size with how loose that ring is. I would especially recommend going now rather than waiting for it to get colder so that way you might be able to size it to fit more swollen summer fingers. Unless the band gets soldered to the ering it probably won't help make it feel tighter, thicker rings do fit more snugly but they will be two separate rings if they aren't soldered together.
