Our date is August 8th in CA and I wanted to post the same question! As of right now we have not postponed it. We have a contingency plan, but we’d like to wait a few months to see if CA lifts the shelter in place. I’d love to hear what other August brides are doing because it definitely gives me anxiety at times! Crossing my fingers that things improve!

Ours is August in NJ. I still have a decent amount of planning to do if the wedding is still on. I feel like we are in limbo. It’s painful to continue to think about wedding stuff or purchase things because it could all be for nothing. I know things could be worse but I’m having a hard time with it all. Corona has taken all the joy away because we just don’t know where the world is going. Makes a wedding seem pointless. Sorry for my negativity/bad attitude, just feels good to vent to other brides. Thanks for understanding, I’m just very sad.

We are (hopefully) getting married this August in Seattle and I think optimistic thoughts with a realistic approach is at least the way for me! I like the idea of being proactive and transparent with both vendors AND guests (because they are likely anxious as well). Here is an example of an email we just sent out to all our guests. Although it's not ideal, I am the type of person that feels better knowing that we have a plan B. Good luck to all of you beautiful brides! Smiley heart

    Hello All,

First and foremost, we hope everyone is staying healthy and safe during this whirlwind of a pandemic. We also wanted to keep everyone up-to-date on our 8/8/20 wedding plans. At present, we are hoping for the best, and that August is far enough away that this will no longer be an issue.
However, we intend to prioritize everyone's health above all else. We are going to reassess the situation in the next few weeks. If we feel that this viral threat is still at large, we will very likely postpone our nuptials to the following summer of 2021. If you are traveling, we encourage you to book refundable or changeable flight/accommodations.
Also, we have updated our wedding website to reflect a 'COVID-19 Updates' page (see link: (edited for privacy)). Please check back periodically for additional updates. Of course, we will send another email with any definitive decisions either way. As always, please feel free to reach out to us at any time with questions or concerns.
We appreciate your flexibility and are sending light and love to everyone at this time!

I'm a June 6th bride. Not postponing because I'm hopeful after our entire state shuts down for 30 days starting Monday, things will settle down.

I'm taking it day by day, still working on wedding plans from home.
Just think positive and don't panic. It will work out. ❤
