Im already sad Haha. I am 1 year and 4 months away and I've already booked my venue, photographer, hair and make up, flowers, and officiant. I feel like it's forever away and i don't even know what to do. I feel like i can't sit and do nothing but I'm not sure what else i can do this far out. What...

What are some things i can do with such a great distance?!?! I'm so lost at this planning thing!

You don’t have to pay for rooms, but reserving a block with the hotel might save the guests some money off the price of the room and could get you guys some special treatment or perks with the hotel for booking so many rooms. If you’re not expecting too many guests to book rooms be careful though, you may be on the hook for anything that goes unhooked (difficult to explain the process but I read a good article on here about it). Basically just make sure they waive the attrition.

At this point maybe you should create a Wedding Task List.

OMG i totally understand the feeling I am 10 months out but all I have left to book is the florist. Try and take a break and maybe look up honeymoon plans or start your website lol if you have to keep busy Smiley smile good luck!

Have you started dress shopping or looking for a caterer? You could also begin to look for your STDs, invites, or some décor pieces. Just don't buy anything unless you're 100% sure you want it and want to use it for your wedding.

This was me and I have no regrets lol. I got engaged december 2017 and by january my venue was booked. By April of 2018 , EVERYTHING was booked and I've spent the past year paying it all off for my october 2019 wedding. It's so much better to have "too much time" than it is not having enough time. I didn't have to compromise for another vendor at any point of the planning process because I booked everyone ridiculously early. I even had to wait for 2 things (hair & makeup) bc they both only booked a year out (no further) so on october 20th, 2018 I emailed them both and secured the date. I was not playing around, lol. Like I said though. I regret nothing. My wedding is going to be exactly what I want it to be! I've noticed that the months leading up the wedding are the most stressful for most brides, but I'm just chilling and enjoying hearing the details about my bridal shower in september from my friends, sister, and mom and I'm really relaxed.
