To kilt or not to kilt that is the question

My fiance and I have been tossing around the idea of wool tartan kilts, dress shoes, kilt socks and flashes, dress shirts and vests as outfits for the wedding. I even found a company who has even offered to weave our own tartan. Is this too crazy outlandish? I am just not sure if the outfits go with...

I am just not sure if the outfits go with the barn wedding style

Kilt my friend... always kilt. My fiancé is wearing a kilt and our reception is in a barn. Any chance you or your fiancé are US armed service veterans? Each brand has their own tartan. Also, law enforcement and fire fighters do too. Black watch tartan is also acceptable as well as a few other professions. Or if you have clan heritage you can do that as well. Not only do kilts look absolutely amazing, but it allows the fellas to incorporate their own personality into their wedding attire instead of being stuck with a generic tux that 99% of all grooms wear. For example, you can personalize the kilt pin, sporran, belt, belt buckle, saber, etc. My fiancé is wearing a Great Kilt in the USAF tartan with a sgian dubh antler kilt pin. He hasn't chosen the sporran or belt buckle yet. Most likely he will go with the Argyle jacket and vest rather than the prince Charlie, but that is also not yet decided. His wedding band in titanium with antler inlay as he is a huge outdoorsman. EDIT: I just read some responses and saw that you have both picked out a tartan. Fantastic! Glad he is on board too, It makes my heart so happy to know that others are donning them as well for their big day!
