To invite work friends or not invite work friends....

I originally thought since I'm not close with anyone at work I wouldn't invite anyone. It was either invite everyone or invite no one from work, I don't want anyone feeling left out. I originally thought since I'm not close with anyone at work I wouldn't invite anyone. It was either invite everyone or invite no one from work, I don't want anyone feeling left out. My friend at work got married last week and she only invited a few people from work (which I thought was wrong). So I was dead set on either invite everyone or no one but someone at work made my feel bad about it, she said "you have been here 7 years and ur not inviting one person that's weird". Now I've been at my Job for 7 years but i work in a hospital and ive only been in my department 7 months. Idk if I should invite a few people or go with my original guy and invite all or none. What are you girls doing??

You should never feel obligated to invite people you aren't that close with. I'm not inviting everyone I work with or even anyone in my department (history teacher at a high school). Only one person in my department is being invited but I hang out with him and his wife at least once a month outside of work for get togethers, and their son is my godson. Also FH is only inviting the people in his department (Science teacher) that we hang out with and actually like. As far as coworkers go only invite those you're close with and spend time with outside of work. Never feel obligated to invite coworkers.

I worked at an small school and we were close like a family I invited the other 5 teachers and 2 directors. Directors are coming just to the wedding and 3 teachers to the reception. I invited 3 families that I was close to. But I wasn't sure at first

I invited 3 people from work that I am very close with and wanted there. I didn't discuss my guest list with anyone at work, I quietly asked for the addresses of the three I invited (with spouses) and sent the invitations to their homes. And as adults they kept their invitation to themselves.

I'm a teacher and I felt the same way- invite none or invite all. So, I set the invitation out on our workroom table (this is what almost everyone that gets married from work does). Then, I gave a select few, the ones I hang out with outside of work, mailed invites.

I'm inviting 4 old coworkers from my hometown (where our wedding will be at) however these are people I spent a lot of time outside of work with. Don't feel bad about not inviting anyone. Unless you're really close to them

Screw that noise. That's her just trying to get an invite to your wedding. I've been at my job for 4 years and I'm not inviting any of them.
