Anyone who is getting married in September thru December postponing their wedding? My wedding is on 10/10/2020 and I am hesitant to postpone because it's still far away.

We are supposed to be 10/2 in NY and we are hesitant to postpone--getting every to agree on a date again is a nightmare--but I agree with many of you that I can't bear the thought of someone getting sick. We had a large (200+) wedding with events during the week leading into the whole weekend so it's a big decision. My fiancee says press on and just reduce the guest list, but I don't know...such a crazy thing to have to manage!

Ours is currently scheduled for 9/12/2020 in Colorado. We’re inviting 300 people from 26 states and three different countries. I’m thinking we will postpone (we have a backup date lined up for 9/11/2021) because we are just so worried about bringing everyone from all over the place in one space. And this whole “second wave”potentially could happen with COVID this fall. What would you do? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

We sent out SurveyMonkey poll to our guests for our 10/10/20 wedding in the mountains of NC, and only 40% said they'd be comfortable attending. We made the decision to reschedule to Oct. 2021 to save ourselves the worry leading up to the date. Even if we'd have kept the date, I think that with recommended social distancing and mask-wearing, it wouldn't be what we wanted anyway. Good luck, it's definitely a hard decision!

We are booked for our destination wedding in New Orleans on 03/13/21. We have considered rebooking only because of costs to our guests (everyone will be flying in). We are worried about our guests flying and the money it will cost them.

My wedding is on November 8th, 2020. As of now, I am undecided about what to do. My bridesmaids and groomsmen couldn't get their dresses or tux due to Covid shutting things down here in PA. My father basically told me to reschedule because he believe the second wave will bring on another lock down. I'm just upset, disheartened and angry about the whole thing. Right now, my fiance says wait till July to make our decision but at this point I don't see the point of having a wedding at all.

We reached out to them but had three conversations with them before moving our date. I reached out and asked to just talk through everything. I just wanted to gauge how understanding they were being with moving wedding. Asked about their May and June weddings and what moving the wedding looks like (this was the first week of May). Then we reached out again over memorial day weekend and at this point we could tell that she was not quite ready to move Sept weddings. We agreed to wait two more weeks before making an official decision IF the venue held our preferred date in 2021. Then, in the first week of June we officially moved our date to 2021. It was a HUGE load off knowing our 2021 date would not be taken if we waited a couple weeks before making the official move.

    Hope this helps!
