To add flutter sleeves or not to add...

My dress is already purchased (it's the one on the right), but I am trying to decide if I want to add flutter sleeves to it (like the one on the left that I tried on prior, but couldn't afford). When I bought the dress, I was told the excess fabric that will get cut off the bottom should be able to be used for the sleeves, and I was quoted an approximate total price of $200 for all the alterations (which is in my budget). My dress doesn't come in until April, but I'm trying to be proactive in the meantime so I'm prepared for when the fitting process for alterations starts.

    I think you should add the straps! I am doing this exact same thing to my strapless dress. I love the look of off the shoulder straps!

    I'm usually team strapless but I honestly love the look of the sleeves. So definitely add them!

    Hahaha, that would certainly do it! I didn't mean to say you seemed unhappy in the dress you got, just that you seemed really excited about the one with the sleeves, and if you love the look you should go for it Smiley smile

    The flutter sleeve adds up a more flirtatious look to your dress. I think you should add it the sleeves.

    Looks great! But can you raise your arms to dance? That would be my only worry about those sleeves.

    They are a lose sleeve, so I should be able to. I'm not a big dancer anyways, so I'm not too worried about that.
