TLC Four Weddings Contacted Me?

My brother attended one of these weddings as a guest in the UK. They were friends with the bride. They said it was awful, that the other three brides sat in the corner all night bitching about everything and didn't talk to anyone else. I saw the episode on TV the four brides were horrible about each other's weddings.

The times I've watched it I've done it on mute, because I can't stand to hear the bitchiness and cattiness, of the brides. I'm sure they edit the show, to get the most controversy/drama.

Before saying yes/no watch a lot of the episodes back to back/marathon style. Is this what you want your day to become? Do you want to be one of those brides? Once you are taped and have a mic on, every move you make, thing you say, emotion you express becomes theirs to do with what they please. Your wedding day no longer is yours. It becomes theirs.

I have no idea what the contracted benefits are to being a part of the show ... ????

Wait. They came across your wedding website and then creeped to find your Facebook to contact you?

A few girls on the FB group I am in were scheduled to be on this show and the day before one of the girls weddings she backed out because she was told they were more important than her own photographer and she was under the impression that X amount of people would be there but they told her that Y amount of people (more than the X) would be there instead. They also basically wanted control over her wedding and she told them to go fly a kite.

ITV does do cross productions with US and Canadian companies. I have friends that work on UK productions in Toronto. Just make sure that you get someone else to look over any paperwork they send you and any NDAs.

I love watching. Not too sure I would want my wedding judged by millions.

I agree with you ladies, I want this day to be about me and my FH. not about a competition. And I'd hate for producers to twist things to fit a certain theme or outcome. It also seems invasive and ruins the intimacy of the day! If I find out anymore info for those of you who are curious about the legitimacy of it all, I'll let ya know!

Also, keep in mind that it's TV. You may be asked to redo something for the camera that was a genuine emotion. Even "reality TV" isn't real.

Also keep in mind that any time you win something you end up paying the taxes on the value of it. I know someone who won a local contest for her wedding and people got to pick out all of the details of her wedding. In the end she absolutely hated it and had to pay an absurd amount of money for something she wasn't even happy with. She could've had the wedding she wanted for much cheaper.

Does that mean this show is coming back? I love that show, and watch it daily on my lunch. I would love if it came back.

I know that TLC has their own casting page on their website and I don't see Four Weddings listed. If it is legit that's pretty cool! I love that show. Since I've been off this summer, I've been watching old episodes everyday.

Ask lots of questions. This show went out of production about 4 years ago. Perhaps it is coming back? Be VERY WARY!
