Wait till the honeymoon is over so you can assess vendors with an objective frame of mind. Do not tip on the day of the wedding. Only tip those who went above and beyond the call of duty. No tips at all for no shows, bad service or simply showing up to do their jobs. Otherwise you are praising bad/mediocre service and encouraging them to do the same to other customers.

You tip what you can afford that you feel they earned.

I'm using this page as a guide for tipping: https://www.brides.com/story/complete-list-wedding-vendors-gratuity-tip-how-much. In general I'm doing 10%-20% per vendor, as you would if you tipped your server at a restaurant or when you get your hair done at the salon on a regular day.

I plan on tipping my MUA at least 20% the day of and all others after the honeymoon. Make sure you read all your contracts though as some vendors have gratuity already added to their final bills.
