Tipping for a buffet styled reception

Amanda, on November 5, 2019 at 11:14 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
Hi all. We’re having a buffet style reception this upcoming Saturday. I wanted to know if it was better to tip overall or per attendant/chef? It would be more money to tip overall and do 15-20% of the bill as oppose to tipping individually. However, I do not want to undertip or do it incorrectly. Thanks!!

I'm tipping on the total bill for our buffet.

We’re tipping each person individually, but I’m also unsure about what’s correct here haha

Usually it's per attendant/chef for that scenario. 15-20% of your total bill, even if it's just the food portion usually is way too much for the number of attendants there are.

That’s what I thinking. If I did overall it’d be A LOT lol
