Timing of Walking down the aisle

Amanda, on September 16, 2019 at 8:45 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
Hey everyone! I think I want to walk down the aisle to Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran. I was wondering if it would be okay to have all of my bridesmaids and groomsmen walk to a different song first, then start my song and wait for the 50 second mark when he says “should this be the last thing I see” for me to step out. Is 50 seconds too long for guests to wait for me to start walking? Or should I split my bm and gm and have my girls walk before me? I just feel like 50 seconds is too short for that. Please help, thanks in advanced!!

Yes 50 seconds will feel like a very long time to your guests. You could probably have the whole wedding party walk out first, or start the song further in. I’m a musician and processionals always end up taking much less time than ppl think.

I walked to that song too ! I had the wedding party walk to a different song. And then when my song played I let it play for a bit before I timed it right when I entered into the verse he started singing "you look so beautiful in your dress"
50 seconds would be kind of long for your guests to wait for you.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Amanda Smiley smile

    I love this song!

50 seconds feels like a little long to have guests waiting.

How many bridesmaids will you have? Could you time if it would take 50 seconds for them all to walk down before you? If so, this would be perfect. Other brides have mentioned walking down the aisle actually takes a lot less time that expected!
