This is the timeline I'm using for our 3:00 wedding! I didn't allot a whole bunch of time for dancing, so you may want to adjust that to better suit your crowd. Hope this helps!

9:00 Arrive at venue to begin setup
11:00 Brief lunch break/begin getting ready
1:15 Pre-wedding photos (bride w/ her family, groom w/ his family, bride & bridesmaid, groom & groomsmen)
2:15 Finish photos to return to bride/groom suite (snack, relax, shake the nerves lol)
2:40 Early bird guests start to arrive
    3:00 Invite time
3:10 Ceremony Begins (to accommodate late comers if necessary)
3:35 Ceremony Ends/Guests move to reception area
    3:40 Cocktail Hour/Post Ceremony Photos
    4:40 Introduction of Bride & Groom/First Dance
4:50 Welcome (Father of the Bride)
4:55 Prayer from Grandfather of the Groom
    5:00 Dinner begins (buffet style)
    5:30 Toasts
    5:45 Father/Daughter & Mother/Son Dances
    6:00 Dancing
    6:40 Cake cutting
    7:05 Bouquet/Garter Toss
    7:10 Sunset Photos
    7:30 Last Dance
    7:45 Send Off

Mine is not much different than Amber's, although we are doing a first look. So, where I have the first look and ALL the photos, you can substitute just BP photos (separately).

8:00am--arrive and set up decor at venue
11:00am--return to hotel to get ready

    11:15am--1:45pm--hair and makeup

2:00pm--First look at venue; pictures of wedding party and B&G to follow

    4:00pm--ceremony

    4:30pm--5:30pm--cocktail hour

5:30pm--Intro of BP and B&G into the reception; immediately start B&G first dance

    5:45pm--dinner

    6:45pm--toasts/speeches/mother & son(groom) dance

    7:00pm--dance floor open

    7:30pm--sunset photos

    8:30pm--cake cutting

    8:45pm--bouquet/garter toss

    9:30pm--send off; last dance

This isn't set in stone, just what I've figured so far. There is plenty of room for tweaking, once we get closer to the date.

Hey Stephanie! Timelines can be tricky at the start, so don’t worry!!

The best thing to do is to start with events that have a definite start time. Is it your ceremony that is starting at 4PM? Are you having hairstylists and MUAs coming to you? Have you discussed with them how long they anticipate getting ready will take?

Are you planning on taking any photographs before your ceremony? Have you discussed with your officiant how long your ceremony will be?
