Hey all! I only get to have my venue from 1 to 10 meaning we can't be on-site before 1 and everyone needs to be gone by 10. I'm thinking decorating and getting ready 1 to 3, pictures 3 to 430, ceremony 5 to 530, reception 530 to 8, last call then clean up. Is this reasonable and realistic??

What do you have planned for the reception? because that feels pretty short for a reception. e.g do you have a meal planned?

I agree with PP, 2.5 hours is a pretty short reception. You should be fine to end at 9.

Only thing planned is a buffet style meal and dancing. Obviously there will be cake cutting but probably not toasts. I want it to feel like a backyard BBQ so laid back atmosphere.

So last call at 9 will leave enough time for cleanup? Everyone needs to be off the property by 10 so I wasn't sure if that was feasible

I think you need a very specific plan for set up to get it done that quickly, along with getting ready all done before 3. And then you may need to very specifically plan clean up too, because I'm not sure you can end by 8 realistically. 2.5 hours is short. Maybe make very specific plans / responsibilities for set up and clean up and then lengthen the reception? You could also make very specific lists of pictures you want and try to shorten the photo period?
