Timeline help please!

Hi Emily! Our ceremony starts at 6 and we are doing the pre reception table at 6:45. Our dinner will start at 7:15. We have our open bar from 7-11 and we’re hoping by 11 we’d be ready to go lol Typically when you meet with the event planner they’ll go over the timeline with you because everyone is different. We don’t plan to have a long ceremony, so our pre reception table will start earlier than 7. The photo is 4 hours and we’re having him arrive at 7 as well so he can get setup. Hope this helps! The only caveat to your timeline is that I would allow another 15 minutes for pictures because it takes a little longer than you think in fact I think our pictures took about two hours. The saving grace was that we had an open bar that started before the wedding during cocktail hour and throughout the evening. We also had a 360 photo booth that started during cocktail hour to keep Guest occupied. This was combined with an MC to engage the crowd with little games such as asking who had been married longest to soonest as well as a Newlywed Game. This helped us not feel guilty about taking so long with pictures. We kept the 360 photo booth all night.

I agree that you'll probably need more time for photos. I would have the open bar 3:30-7:30 and the photo booth open after dinner.

Hi Congratulations to you both now I will say up to like 8:30-8:50pm that will be last call for from the open bar. Since you guys are leaving at 9:30 so I will say that since you already done had a quick ceremony. And that have srink all thru cocktail hour and during dinner for drinks they will have and while dancing. Too so yes that is fair

We used The Wedding Generator! It's a questionnaire that then gives you a detailed timeline and vendor checklist based on your responses.

It told me when I should start the ceremony based on what type of prep I needed (like how many of us are getting hair and make-up done, ect), and then laid everything out, like when the bar needed to be operating based on the questionnaire.

It also gave me a vendor checklist, like what I would need from each of the vendors, and when I should let them know to show up, ect. It's been super helpful then to go and take that to the vendors when I started booking them. It helped me more than the Planning Spiral I got off Amazon, agg!! haha. Congratulations to you though as well!!! Planning a wedding is so fun!
