Timeline for getting ready

For all those late afternoon/early evening weddings, what time are you getting ready? My ceremony starts at 5:30pm and will be having between 10-15 ladies getting hair and makeup done at our hotel.

Our ceremony is at 7:00 at our home. So...a bit simpler for us...I figure I will do hair and makeup by 4 or so. Photographer coming around 4:30. No first look. I prefer mostly casual pictures this second time around.

Speak to your photographer not people on here ..They set the timeline for day .

Once the photographer gives u a time speak to your hair and makeup artists and ask them for schedule ... they tell u how much time they need

Get your hair and makeup close to end but not last ... be done before the photographer arrives

We had hair and makeup for 8 ladies, the vendor team has 3 people. For 15 ladies, you would need a larger vendor team. We started makeup at 12:30, finished by 4pm. I got into my dress at 4:30, had some photos in the suite. First look and group photos 5-6:15pm. Return to suite until ceremony at 7pm.

Holy moly. My H/MUA quoted 4-4.5 hours to get our 7 people's hair and makeup done, and that's with 3 artists working on everyone. I would definitely ask him or her how long it will take to get everyone finished and go from there. We are starting at 7 am the morning of our wedding since we have to be out of our AirBnb by noon, and then we are taking BP photos starting at 1.

Talk to your photographer and your hair and makeup team to see how much time they need! Even if you aren't doing a first look, your photographer will probably want to take detail pictures for at least 30 min (your dress, shoes, veil, accessories, rings, invitation suite, etc.), solo portraits, and some pictures with your bridesmaids!

Our wedding ceremony started at 5pm, and our hair and makeup team started at 9:45am and finished at 2pm. From 3-4:20ish we took pictures (first look, wedding party pictures, family portraits), and then the boys headed to the church to welcome and seat guests and I went into "hiding".

ETA: I had 10 people total getting hair and makeup done (me, 7 bridesmaids, 2 moms) and our hair and makeup team brought 4 people. They scheduled 15 minutes for them to arrive and set up, 3 hours to complete everyone's hair and makeup, and an extra "buffer" hour for touch ups or in case anything was running behind!
