I'm taking two weeks, too! The first week will be in Disney World, and the second is on a cruise through the Caribbean!

I’m planning to take off 3-4 weeks total. I am pretty much my own boss and told my personnel to plan to be on their own for the month surrounding my wedding. My fiancé hasn’t taken a vacation in years and has a ton of vacation days saved up. We decided to do a honeyfund for our registry so planning to mostly spend money on the honeymoon and also boarding for our 3 dogs!

I agree with everyone that it varies for everyone, financially and professionally. I took a week off for the wedding (since my family came to Colorado and I hadn't seen them in nearly 2 years).

I'm taking another 2.5 weeks off at the end of August for the honeymoon. But I put in for this 8 months out and discussed with my coworker. My SO is active duty and they were a little more apprehensive about him being gone for 19 days, but allowed it. When we take big vacations, we usually take 2-3 weeks at a time.

What I took from this topic... American labor laws are seriously cruel and should probably be abolished.

You need time to be on your honeymoon and then time to just be home with your new spouse

5 days total off of work. I hope. I've requested it, but it hasn't been approved yet. We're hopefully taking a small (2 day) honeymoon after the ceremony. Then back to work mid week after the ceremony. He has PTO, I don't.
