Tieks??!! Tieks brides out there!

ShellyShoe, on June 17, 2016 at 9:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 27

So I want to do Teiks for my wedding I'm pretty sure. I was thinking the blush ones but now they just came out with the feather gray. My bridesmaids are wearing blue(evening mist is the actual color called) I have silver, gray and blush accents . What color do you think? Blush or the new feather gray?! Also were the Teiks worth the $$ Thanks!

@ShellyShoe I'm totally new to this whole "Tieks" movement. What's the deal with them? Are they supposed to be super comfy or something? I have a fave pair of Madden Girl floral print autumn heels I'm wearing for photos and I plan to be in flats the rest of the night. Should I consider Tieks? What's the deal?

Yes there apparently the best comfy flats. I work at a preschool and i have a few parents who swear by them! One said her only regret as a bride was not wearing Teiks... They are on the pricy side but I figure its my wedding day is a good excuse to finally buy a pair. But now they got me all confused on the color since they added this new color. Decisions decisions....which is terrible for an indecisive person.

@ShellyShoe I totally get it! I am an inherently indecisive person. Sometimes, I think if I didn't plan out dinners for the weeknights so far ahead, I wouldn't eat because I'd still just be staring into the fridge late into the night. haha!

I have a pair (they were a gift ) and as a a teacher, I was so stoked because I've heard such amazing things... but TBH they're not the most comfortable shoes in the world. Not that theyre uncomfortable, but I would be super upset if i paid all that money and they didn't live up the the expectation. They're nice, just not $200 nice.

It's hard to justify paying that much for flats when I've worn my $16 ones from Target for two years now without them completely wearing out.

Its only $$... I will wear them all the time after so it would be worth it. I never spend that much $ on shoes except for gym shoes. Im babysitting in addition to teaching to afford this want.

@Amytherese you are the first person i have heard say their not that great. Are you more of a flat wearing or heel wearing person? I have flatish feet so i live in uggs in the winter and flats in the spring and flip-flops in the summer. I HATE heels. Luckily for me my FH isn't tall so I don't need to wear heels. All the moms at my work i have talked to 5 of them so far all love theirs and have all own at least 2 now some own more.

As a person who has back problems, I find Clarks, aerosols, borns, echos, etc to be extremely comfortable and I always find wonderful bargains on them. I haven't heard of tieks, however not sure I could justify paying that much.

@ShellyShoe, I considered Tieks for the same reason...everyone says they are the most comfortable shoe in the world, and I thought the wedding/honeymoon was the perfect excuse! I did a lot of research though and actually came across quite a few people who said they were NOT comfortable, that it depends on the shape of your foot. So I decided against it, but I would just make sure you order them in plenty of time to return and get a back up if they aren't the comfy heaven you are expecting! And please share your update at that time!! Smiley smile

PS, I would go with feather grey. Because it compliments more, and if they work out you should be wearing them far into the future!

I have a pair and am not impressed with them. I won't be buying another pair. I bought the original pair to try out before the wedding. I wear flats about 4 days a week.

I am seriously considering a pair myself, if they have turquoise, I can't recall if they do or not.

I also really wanted Tieks when I first saw them, but I've hear great things about Talaria flats, very similar to Tieks. They don't come in as many colors, but they are cheaper and you can get cute bridesmaid packs too.

I plan to get myself and my bridesmaid a pair of them in the pack.

I love my Tieks. I have problems with my feet and knees and it's really hard for me to find shoes that are comfortable. I can't wear heels at all, and most other flats leave me in pain after a short time. Tieks have been the first shoes I've found besides athletic shoes and Vionic flip flops and sandals that I can wear all day without pain. I was very reluctant at first because of the price, but I'm willing to pay more for comfort.

Of course, as with any shoes people will have different experiences. What works great for one person doesn't work at all for another. If you want to try them make sure to wear them around the house for a few days first to see how they feel and break them in. If they don't work out you can return or exchange them as long as you haven't worn them outside.

I've also wondered about Tieks. But there is no way.. .NO WAY I could fork over $200 for those simply, tiny ballet flats. Its absurd!!! (Not a comment against your wedding choice, just a general comment on Tieks lol) If they are the shoe you're dreaming of for a wedding... I can see splurging!!! People splurge on glam heels that almost never get worn again.

But honestly... HOW,,,,, HOW do people pay so much for these? I don't get it..

Might as well go for it. I mean if you don't love them you can probably sell them for close to what you paid for them and get some of your money back.

I have bad feet and thought about getting these flats. Then I saw the price and said NEVERMIND! They are all over Pinterest and they come off so affordable.

I love Tieks for a wedding! It's very cute and the blue bottom could always be your "something blue!" You could always buy them in advance and if they aren't comfortable enough or you don't think you'll wear them often then just return. I'm thinking of doing the rose gold for my wedding! Good luck!
