To get the fancy venue I want we are considering a Thursday wedding to be within budget. I did think about people needing time off work but if we send out save the dates then it gives people 8 months to request time off. Are there any other pros and cons to this? Party may end early if people don’t take Friday off was a thought I had but anything else? Thanks!

For me it would depend on how close I was to the person getting married. I only get so many days off per year, so I'm not going to use any of them up on an "acquaintance," but I would if, say, my sister were getting married.
