Thoughts on Farm Tables for reception?

I think it can be really beautiful and lovely! The only thing is to make sure the aisles are wide enough and that it is easy for the guests to get up and out of their seats.

I think it depends on the venue and what you're planning for decor. I generally like them.

I love them, but the only thing to consider is that they are usually more expensive and need more decoration. We ended up not using them, but if we had, we would have done 2 centerpieces per table instead of 1.

We plan on having 2 farm tables, one for my immediate family & grandparents, 1 for his immediate & grandparents. Then plan on having square or round tables for the rest! I think its a good compromise and socialization factor

I LOVE them. We had long tables, but they weren't exactly farm tables, but that would have been so pretty if we did, IMO.

I think they're pretty, but expensive. I do think they are better for aesthetics than for the practicality if socializing.

I'm thinking of doing a mix of both. Like this:
