Thoughts on diy invitations

I am thinking of saving money by making my own invitations and response cards in word. Anyone else do this? How did it turn out? Or is it a bad idea? I just want to save money in all areas that I am able so that I can afford to do better food or something else.

    I am doing that also so far it is a pain in the butt, but I know once I figure it out and they are done it will well worth it. Also it is a great way to ensure that they look the way you want them to.
