This or that? (ceremony space or reception space)

Our ceremony and reception will be at the same venue, and while I looove both spaces (the ceremony spot has an absolutely gorgeous view and is a lot of what sold us on the venue!), I'd have to say reception space is more important, just because most of the time will be spent there! The reception space has both indoor and outdoor sections at our venue. Lawn games and a fire pit outside, dancing and dinner inside.

Ours are at the same place but we definitely focused more on the reception aspect of it.

For me, the ceremony space is more important. I feel like the ceremony space will set the mood for the evening, and will be more heavily photographed than our reception room. Plus, once the food and alcohol start flowing, I know our guests could have a good time anywhere!

Ceremony space is 1st. Getting married at church. The reception area has outside/inside for cocktail hour and reception is inside the venue. Everyone knows the place so no big deal or worries with that.

Reception space. It's the bulk of the time, so I wanted something that would be large and welcoming and a good layout.

This one is hard. on one hand you're going to be at the reception more haha but on the other the ceremony is where it's really at in terms of symbolism.

Ceremony for sure!

Reception! Ours are in the same place and they DO have a nice outdoor area where we’re getting married, but if it rains we’ll be having it in an upstairs room. Because you can’t know what weather you’ll get, and because the ceremony is only 30 minutes of the whole day (albeit a very important 30 minutes) I’m a lot less attached to it than I am to my reception spot. Plus, guests (and even the bridal party) don’t tend to walk around the ceremony spot or see the decorations close up particularly, as there are other things to do is on.

Definitely the reception space. We are having everything at one venue. We looked at forest venues for the ceremony but couldn’t find anything without lots of restrictions. So we decided to keep everything at one location where there is no curfew and we have free reign to do anything we want at the reception.

Ceremony. The church was significant for us.

We had both ceremony and reception in the same room, so I am kind of neutral on this, but if I had to pick, I'd say ceremony space.

My ceremony space I would say... but it was my vonderful church, I took it as it was, very beautiful !
