Dedicated February 2013

This blizzard has ruined my day.

Andrea, on February 8, 2013 at 1:09 AM Posted in Planning 0 19

So tomorrow is my big day and this blizzard is ruining my day. This is supposed to be the blizzard of the century and it had to be this weekend Smiley sad. I've already had 8 people call and cancel for Tom. I'm so down about this. I don't even want to go through with it anymore. This was such a waste of money.

Is it too late to postpone? since we are having our wedding nxt yr in feb; our venue gave us the convenience of postponing with no extra cost. call them & confirm if they have a generator; just in case the electricity goes.

So sorry Andrea! I live about 20 min south and we should only be getting 4-6 inches of snow. Us Jersey Girls won't let a little snow stop us from having fun!

    Congratulations!!

Big hugs Andrea. I'm in Seattle but I have been terrified have having the same thing happen to me too. My FH (who loves the snow) keeps saying he hopes it snows. You're day will be wonderful, and it won't be a waste of money. Smiley smile Just think of it as you are going to have GORGEOUS pictures. That will make up for the people that didn't come. And you know those news people... they make mountains out of molehills. Chin up sister.

Oh no! If I were getting married this weekend I would feel the same way. But then I would remember how lucky I am to be marrying the man of my dreams and thats what really matters. Try to focus on that. Maybe you can get some unique wedding photos with all this fresh snow! And when you're celebrating your 50th wedding anniversary you'll have a great story to tell the grandkids. Good luck to you. Enjoy your day no matter what mother nature throws our way!

No matter what, be happy that those that cancelled are safe. And, most importantly, you will still get to marry the man of your dreams.

    Sending prayers your way.

Ah, sweetie that is a shame, but embrace the day and your husband to be, and have a grand time with the guests that did attend, no other worry could possibly cloud anything else, so your way ahead of things...and a bride in the snow...just glorious..xxx and just think of the spectacular stories there will be for years to come, so many positives in this, relax, smile brilliantly and go be beautiful...."do it up, like us Irish say....Good Luck.x

Such a shame, but there is nothing you can do about the weather. Just enjoy your day and remember what it is all about- you and your hubby committing forever!! I hope that you have a great time with those who can make it!

Unfortunately, weather is one of those things all the wedding planning in the world can't plan for. I'm sure you will still have a beautiful day.

I'm right with you; we have three weddings tomorrow and it's snowing like crazy here in north NJ.... Enjoy your day, have them pack up the leftovers and take some fab pix in the snow!

So my day has come and gone and Mother Nature was a bitch! She ruined my day. From an 85 person guest list only 40 people showed. BUT the Palace at SOmerset park was perfect. They kept me calm through the whole thing. It was very disappointing.
