Thick & Pin Straight Hairstyle Help!!!

I am getting married 11-12-2021 and I've been planning like crazy, I love getting things done right away. So I began thinking about what I want to do with my hair. Thing is.... My hair is extremely heavy, and incredible naturally straight. Many of the weddings I've been in and have attended, I've attempted to get done into an updo, but after dancing 2 songs, my hair is falling out. I don't like my hair down and loose because it just gets in my face, and loses its curl right away because my hair is too straight, and there is ALOT of it! Anyone have any suggestions of how I can style my hair? I'm not set on up or down, just out of my face and in control! Luckily I have time to figure it out, so any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

    Maybe a wrap-around braid of some kind? That would keep hair off your face and it doesn't matter if your hair is curly or straight for that.

    We are date twins! And I’m in the same place as you, we have everything pretty much DONE already. Have you thought Of maybe doing a fancy braid and adding some flowers to it? I recently had a friend who did a fishtail braid, loosened it and curled some of the pieces that didn’t fit in, and she added baby’s breath to the braid and it looked really pretty.

    Maybe a braid like other suggested? My hair is long and heavy and enough pins and spray an updo should last. You can even get bigger clips that have pearls or crystals on to help them stay. I have pin straight hair as well, and since I started using a curling wand, its the ONLY thing that can let my hair hold a curl and I struggled for years.

    Aw yay! It's going to be such a great day!! I love fishtail braids, and the idea of baby's breath in there. I'm going to give it a test run for sure!

    I really like the idea of curling the loose hairs. I'm going to have to try that out. Maybe with enough curling, my hair will just get used to it like yours did. Thanks for the help!
