Our theme Is Dungeons and Dragons, because thats how we met. I think themes are a great way to personalize your wedding but are absolutely not necessary!

No theme specifically, but we met in college and our wedding colors are our college colors - purple and gold.

We had a coastal theme (sailboats, sand, seashells). Colors were white, peach, and sandy tan.

We're doing a dungeon and dragons theme too! Plus a little bit of space/galaxy touches.

Trying not to go super over the top on the theme for our guests that don't play/don't understand, but I think we're making progress! The space part is more lighting/color schemes.

We did not have any theme. Just an old fashioned elegant and romantic Inn, with 2 bands, for background ans slow ballroom dancing, then a jazz band and a little swing. Like what you would see in an old movie ( minus cigarettes or cigars.)
The Inn rooms were decorated in many colors with real wood panels, lots of cream and gold details. So we did not have any wedding colors. Everything we added was either clear glass or cut glass with flowering plants to fit in with colors in each of the rooms. We removed a fair number of pictures partly at head height so we would not see pieces of old men or ships at sea around faces in photos. But otherwise, it was well decorated when we chose it, so we focused on choice of music, food and such.

We didn't have a theme, but we incorporated different elements of things we both like. I am a girly girl and love sparkles/glitter so our cake topper, table numbers, and the table cloth on our sweetheart table were a sparkly silver. I also love converses so that's what I wore for the entire wedding. My husband had never worn converses before, he decided he wanted a pair to match me. He wore his for the reception and after party. I also had mine decorated with sparkly gemstones. Going along with the fact that I'm a girly girl I really wanted a tiara to wear with my veil so my husband surprised me by giving me one the morning of our wedding along with a note telling me he loved me. Also my husband is a huge fan of sports so we incorporated his love for sports by having our guest books be jerseys (one baseball and one hockey), our escort cards look like tickets to a baseball/hockey game, and and part of the groomsmen's gifts were mugs that looked like baseball bats with their names engraved on them and they used during the reception for their drinks. I wore a garter with my the logo for my husband's favorite hockey team. Red and black were our colors which are the colors of my husband's favorite hockey team and I also always envisioned red roses with black table cloths for my wedding so it worked out perfectly because we both liked red and black. My husband is also a construction manager and loves building things so he made our card box that looks like a little house like we would want to buy one day. I liked getting to include little pieces of things we each enjoy rather than doing an overall theme as sometimes themes can look childish in my opinion.

We didn’t have a theme per say, but I had a vibe I wanted to achieve. I wanted to have something that helped guide my choices. We got married in January so I wanted a winter wonderland. Lots of sparkle, different shades of blue, silver.

Yes! We like to say our theme is Dungeons and dragons but make it classy! (our sign, my sword hilt bouquet, and the dice boutonniere)Theme Ideas? 10

Those are gorgeous! We're working to try and make some D20 centerpieces (empty so flowers can go in) with some little dragon figurines tucked away. The table names are going to be named after the different classes and set on a galaxy background. So we're super excited!

Also, 100% DND but make it classy!

Everyone has a theme but most call it colors, a vibe, an aesthetic. But they are all the same thing. It keeps the wedding decor from looking like a bunch of things randomly tossed together with no cohesion.

Pick something that fits you as a couple. Do you have a favorite season, color combo, film, holiday, general interest, flowers, etc that you want to base your decor around. Take that and run with it.

We initially were going to try to do a vintage/Victorian theme but after we postponed, I simplified it to just have (very) little elements of vintage, mostly because these items were already purchased; for example, our welcome sign is a vintage mirror, cake topper is love birds, bird cage card box, champagne flutes and cake knife/server are vintage...other than that, our 'theme' won't be overly noticeable. Our color scheme is ivory, Tiffany Blue with accents of gold.

No theme over here, just items that speak to us as a couple. We have been together for 6.5 years. We are having an outdoor wedding/reception. I am using the landscape, and hired a county band (thats what we like to listen to). I am planting the flowers that I want to use (dahlia’s will be in season and lavender). I am not doing much with the labels, no lights either, since it is an early ceremony/reception. I am providing lots of yards games, and yummy food, and am going to practice balloon animal making for the kids. Giving happiness makes me happy.

I keep telling FH that our theme is “grown sexy” like Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici from the Bachelor and he’s losing his mind because he has no clue what I’m talking about. But hey, it makes sense in my head! 😂

Overall though our colors are white with pops of blush and it’s a pretty formal affair altogether so the decor and everything is seeming to reflect that.

Themes are entirely optional, but if you *do* theme, it's best to do it around something you both love.

I had never intended to have a theme, but DH looked at me halfway through planning and said, "of course we have a theme, it's our baseball team, and it has always been our theme." ...I mean, when he said it like that, with the invitations, and the colors, and the cake, and the table numbers all about our team... And then we threw in theatre as the other theme. Because that's what we love.

    So:

A Phillies and baseball themed cake (with a comedy/tragedy mask not seen here)

We are planning a 1930s Hollywood glam gangsters and movie stars theme wedding. Our colors are red, black, white, silver and gold.
