The Roaring 20s themed wedding

I am loving the cigarette girls handing out appetizers! If money is not a concern you could look into hiring dancers for a performance (I'm thinking tap or the typical 1920's dance style)

I love the 20's! Maybe if we do a vow renewal that would be our theme. I love the telegram save the dates! I know that rent the runway has sequence dresses for bridesmaids (or mother of the birde/groom). And thank you for getting off of the "Great Gatsby" idea... To me its in the same boat as "Romeo and Juliet" "50 shades of grey" and "Twilight".

I dont want to be a Debby Downer but look in into feather prices before you decide to got that route. The can be very expensive for the really big ones. Especially for how many you will need for it not to look cheap.

We are having the same theme, as the room is 20s inspired. All of the servers are wearing white tuxes and I am also looking for other ways to incorporate it, without being over done or tacky. Our colors are going to be gold and black, but with pops of purple.

The feather centerpieces definitely are perfect! I've done them for a bunch of events, but they aren't cheap. The feathers are a few bucks each, and you need a lot to fill it out. Use foam balls and glue dots to keep them attached to the vase. I'd look into renting them to cut the costs, I think we used to rent them for something like $75-100, and charged for missing feathers. Without a doubt, your guests will play with/take a few.

You can buy bulk fake pearls and use them to accent tables and the bar, too.

Have you looked into venues that are Art Deco style? I would think if you're venue had the architecture, you wouldn't really need to dress things up to try and over compensate.
