I think the bouquet toss is cute if its your first wedding and you have lots of single friends/family. I find the garter toss a little creepy though.

Over it. I don't like how they put people on the spot (especially single ladies) and I find a bunch of men racing to catch my undergarment to be particularly icky.

Over both of them. We’ve decided not to have either at our wedding. I don’t have many single female friends and the garter thing feels kind of awkward! We figured it would leave more time for dancing!

Over it and as someone who was single for a long time, I always hated being forced into the bouquet toss at weddings. It made me feel like I looked desperate and pathetic. So, no bouquet or garter toss at our wedding. Plus, most of our family and friends are married now.

Over both. It doesn't match who we are as we don't like putting people in the spotlight

Over it. I refuse to have either at our wedding! Garter toss is especially gross to me.

Over it! Neither will be included in our wedding. My decision was solidified last fall when FMIL verbally bullied me into participating in a bouquet toss even though they are traditionally for single women. Like hello, I am marrying your son! And I think the garter tradition is icky. No I don’t want my husbands head up my dress in front of our families and no I don’t want to subject any women at my wedding to being touched by a possible stranger. Yuck.

Over it! At our wedding, we are not going to have a lot of single people anyway so it would be super lame! And I think the garter toss and then having to put it on someone else is super creepy!

I was thinking about doing bouquet toss but now am not so sure. I think garter toss is fun and whatever but its weird to do in front of all your family and friends.

Over it. Why would you want to suggest to all your single friends that they should be so desperate to get married that they'd fight to catch a bouquet/garter?

The garter toss is particularly distasteful IMO. Also, as someone who has been in a long term relationship, I hated when people assumed I should be there for the bouquet toss because I’m not married. I’m sorry, but I view my commitment to my relationship just as seriously and don’t want some random guy putting a garter on me if I happen to catch the bouquet. So over it!

Over it! Garter toss is just awkward. And I hated being forced to stand for the bouquet toss.

I don't really like this. It outs singles and forces them to feel awkward for your picture or 'moment.' There's better stuff people can make traditions out of imo.
