So I still am having some concerns about the dress I picked out. The color and not knowing how the straps I want added on to the strapless dress is gonna turn out is literally haunting me. So I still am having some concerns about the dress I picked out. The color and not knowing how the straps I want added on to the strapless dress is gonna turn out is literally haunting me. It was at the first store I went to, when I went to the second store that same day I kept comparing everything to my dress from the first store. I need some hard and true tough love first hand experience. I am thinking about looking at one more store this weekend for dresses. I’m either going to compare everything to the dress I already bought (Sottero and Midgley-originally $2,100 that I got for $900 off the rack) or I’m gonna fall in love with a new dress and be out the money from the original dress and just have it sitting around for nothing. What should I do? Ive attached my dress for reference (it’s champagne with ivory lace overlay)

Your dress is gorgeous!!! And it looks beautiful on you!!!
I understand where you are coming from as I have second guessed myself since buying mine. It was the first store I'd been to and was feeling panicked that I needed to get something. I wasn't going to try it as it was over budget but my ladies with me wanted to see it on. They along with consultants thought it was perfect on me. One of my ladies was texting my FH about how beautiful the dress was and how great it looked on me so he instructed her not to let me leave the store without getting it. I ultimately said yes to the dress.
I have wondered since then if there would have been something else I liked better. I went back to same place a couple of times and still ended up back in the same dress and each time they tell me how much my face lights up seeing myself in it. Maybe once alterations are complete I will really fall in love with it.
Mine is also in ivory which is what I envisioned myself in. I tried on some white dresses but just didn't like them on me. Everyone says the ivory looks so much better.
So, I am with you on having those second thoughts. I say do what you feel you need to do.
I'm 2 1/2 weeks away from our wedding so I really don't have time to change anything. In hindsight, I wish I would have taken time to look further but, I know in the grand scheme of things, my dress will be beautiful.

Me too! I wasn't super worried, since they were detachable I could always take them off and not wear them.

The dress looks wonderful, I had experienced this because the dress I chose had a plunging neckline and off the shoulder... we are raising the neckline and adjusting the straps. I think many brides experience this feeling especially when they are changing something... think positive, remember you chose this dress for a reason and you also got a really great deal so take a breath and think positive Smiley smile

Your hands are clenched in your pictures. Maybe that’s a clue for you?
