"The Bride is coming! The Bride is coming!" title besides bell ringer?

Chassidy, on February 18, 2016 at 12:16 PM

My little sister (9 years old) will be coming down the aisle right before me, ringing our great grandmothers bell (deceased) saying "the bride is coming, the bride is coming!" I am TOTALLY lost on her title! PLEASE HELP!

I think it's a cute idea I've seen it done a few times at weddings before.

Why does she need a title?

Bellamae we're all getting button up shirts for pictures!! I don't want her to be the only one without a title on the back!

I think its a sweet gesture and i actually like it. Your friends and family will probably love it too. Remember your guest actually know you so don't be weirded out by the people who don't know you who find it weird. I say bride crier, or even flower girl, bride announcer, or little bride herald....alright i'm reaching here but you get the idea.

I like bride Herald! Especially after someone posted the definition. So fitting!

The only thing I can think of is "town crier" lol

Personally.... I wouldn't want a kid yelling out while walking down the aisle and I would think it was really weird as a guest!

What about one of those "Here comes the Bride" signs?

I think music should be the only thing making noise as you walk down the asile... a bell is okay but no yelling/introducing is necessary... they know the bride is coming. You will be the one in white ... having someone introduce you makes it seem like people arnt sure who the bride is... kinda odd

I think it's a cute idea and not at all weird or strange.

I think just "herald" would suffice!

I'm doing this as well. What did you end up calling your sister?

The bell sounds old fashion and really I think it's a bit much. It just seems to me to be very attention-seeking and unnecessary, but to each it's own.

Hahaha. Is this supposed to be like " the British are coming?" I think this is a little strange and you are gonna have some very confused guests as they think this little girl will be announcing a battle.

Wow, so many judgmental and snarky remarks - projection much? The poster was asking for suggestions for a name, not feedback on the role. What an insult to criticize her based on what's important to her and something she already knows she wants and obviously not at all helpful.

"Bridal herald" would be really cute and fitting.

This sounds really cute, and it’s done in some places.
I lost my grandmother a few months ago, and it warmed my heart. She was 100 and lived a long wonderful life but we are all still sad, she was just a phenomenal woman. It sounds like she was a big part of your life. Honor her however you choose!

I had four bell ringers in my wedding. I was married on St. Patrick’s Day and this was an Irish tradition. Everyone commented on how cute And different it was. We also had a flower girl. They also said, “The Bride is Coming! The Bride is Coming!” The kids had a blast and the pictures were so sweet. I hope you had an amazing wedding.
