I thought this was going to be a followup to the poster yesterday complaining they cant afford their wedding that they arent actually getting legally married at.

I went to one. DH and I had a lot of fun. It's way better then a normal wedding expo. For those that don't know what it is, it's basically a wedding expo with vendors but it's set up like an actual wedding where vendors display their talents.

I'm glad someone knows what I'm talking about. I've heard about it one other time and then their Instagram happened to pop up in my feed this morning and the pictures made it look like a blast!

I never heard of this but it sounds way better than a wedding expo!

I just googled it. FH and I have everything pretty set, but I'm seriously considering road tripping to the one in Charlotte. He's never actually been to a wedding, so it might help him see what it's going to be like

That's why I sprung and bought the tickets! All of the wedding expos I've been too are so cattle call-ish and there's a zillion people and vendors are just giving you gobs of fliers. I liked this because there's a limit on tickets sold and you can see them in action

It was a lot of fun. It's a different atmosphere so everyone is more laid back and chilled. The bride and groom was a real married couple that basically did a vow renewal in front of a bunch of strangers. One thing I loved about the company that host it was that the Bride's father was sick during her real wedding so they took the time to let them have the father/daughter dance they had missed out on.

I thought this thread was going in an entirely different direction and was prepared to freak out, haha. This seems like such a neat concept- definitely more fun and more informative than seeing booths at a typical expo. I've never seen anything like it here in Eastern Canada, but if I had heard of something like this, I would have checked it out for sure

As a vendor I can say that all vendors and brides should RUN! This company is terrible! They charged me double what they charged the other videographers/photographers when I asked for a refund they didn't offer anything but excuses. In addition the turn out was so low at most 20 couples showed up, they admitted to the extremely low attendance and didn't offer any compensation. I paid over $1,000 to be a vendor and was completely ripped off.
