The after party in the dress?

Our Wedding is ending early at 10pm because it’s an outdoor venue and you know... sound ordinance laws... so we are holding somewhat of an after party at the bar at our hotel. Now, I’m not sure what to wear! We will be leaving the venue for the hotel by limo and probably arriving before most people since they’ll be sending us off. So should I go up to the room and take my wedding dress off? If so what should I wear? Another white dress but a casual one? Or is it normal to just stay in my dress? What do you all think?

I love everything about this!
I would stay in my dress for sure. I love it and it is comfortable. What other time can you get away with wearing a wedding dress out and about?

Where your dress! You will only have this one night to wear it why would you want to change out of it? Or at least thats my thinking. We are in the same position as well and have to move our party at 10 due to noise as well. I plan on parading my behind in my dress down the street for everyone to see a jazz bar to keep the party going!

I would say change into lounge clothes, most of your guests will go to their hotel room and do the same.
And for everyone saying 'Oh, who doesn't love shopping for another dress?!?!', I would say lots of people. Like, shopping is legit the worst, ESPECIALLY dress shopping. My mother literally had to drag me dress shopping for the wedding. I love my dress, don't get me wrong, but you couldn't pay me money to go through that again.

Stay in it! This is your chance to be the bride, so take it for all you can! I'm not sure if we are doing anything afterwards, but I'm definitely staying in mine as long as possible!

Mine is sheath so it’s pretty straight on me but it’s got a long train so the bustle poofs it out a bit and it also has a lot of lace on it. So I’m not gonna be in the way with it, but it’s just detailed

So that was my question really, I wasn’t sure if it would be weird to wear a wedding dress outside of the context of a wedding lol but I guess everyone seems to think it’s totally acceptable!
