I have been trying to decide what to walk down the aisle to for the last year. I had decided on A Thousand Years by Christina Perri (probably the Piano Guys version) before Twilight came out, and was incredibly pissed when I heard it during the movie. Now of course its the bridal anthem, and it seems like EVERYONE is using it.

But dammit...that song makes me cry every time I hear it. I don't know what to do! Should I just accept that people will probably roll their eyes when they hear it, and do what I want? Blah. Rant over.

That's the song I used, but we used the version by Boyce Avenue -- acoustic and absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Check it out. It was perfect and you need to do what makes you happy Smiley smile

Im walking down to a thousand years part two.. my aisle is long and l shaped so as i timed it, I will arrive at the "turn" right when the mans part of the song starts, and FH will walk down to me during that part and during chorus we will walk up together. which is good cause i dont think i will make it on my own. lol

I am also having a violinist pay along with it since we have her for the whole hour. she is playing for the bridal party and the procession so she suggested we have her play along with the song i walk to also.. ill have to see as i dont want to hide the words..

YOU do what you want and love. It is your day. Dont worry about what anyone thinks.

Honestly, if you poll the guests of any wedding, no one is going to know/remember any of the ceremony music.

I'm sure they won't roll their eyes. It's a beautiful song. Im also using it. I hate the traditional bride song and wanted something I liked.

I walked down the aisle to that song (if we're referencing the one Bella walked down to for her wedding?). I just really like the song, it's pretty and appropriate.

(Yes I own the movies AND the books, DON'T JUDGE ME.)
