Thank You Notes for Vendors

Seale, on September 25, 2017 at 3:15 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 1 7

Hi!

So, I only have three vendors who will need a tip but I was thinking of putting the money in an envelope with a simple card thanking them for their services and all that. However, for some reason, I'm struggling with the format of how I should write it. I don't want to make the notes too wordy or not wordy enough. Anyone know of a general guideline/format to writing a thank you note to vendors?

I feel like this is a stupid question but my brain is completely blanking on this.

"Thank you for adding to our special day" General enough to work for all!

You can try something like "Thank you so much for being a part of our special day. It was truly the best day of our lives and we loved every minute of it! Thank you for continually working with us and helping us create personalized touches, an amazing day, and truly unforgettable memories.

    Our love and gratitude"

Also, always write a review for them either on WW, Google, Yelp, places like that where people will look for their services.

Thank you both! I think I might go with something in between your suggestions. I like short and sweet but I also want to make it feel a little less general.

@Mj We definitely will be leaving reviews. I just want to give them something to show I appreciate their efforts (other than tip) the day of.

I think most vendors feel like I do -- such a pick-me-up when I receive a TY note from my couples. I actually keep all of them!

I'm with MBean. Just like any thank you note, it's best to include something specific and personal about what exactly you are thanking them for. How did their services contribute to your day? You don't have to write a novel, but it's always touching to hear what you did was meaningful to someone.

I wrote the event coordinator at my venue a thank you note but the only reason I did was because she left the night of before I had a chance to give her a tip. So I wrote her a check and a short thank you note. "Thank you so much for all of your hard work. You made planning so easy and We loved our wedding at Xxxxxx." Or some shit like that.

Thank you for all the replies. I feel like I can actually write these no without sounding like an idiot. I definitely didn't want to come off as detached and disinterested in what I wrote so I appreciate the examples of what everyone used/would use.
