Thank you cards! Who gets one? Where did you buy them? Show me yours!

Now that the wedding day has come and gone I am ready to send out thank you cards! I think I want to do one with a wedding photo on the front and blank inside to write a message. Now that the wedding day has come and gone I am ready to send out thank you cards! I think I want to do one with a wedding photo on the front and blank inside to write a message. I know its a big no-no to have pre-written ones so I'll be writing a personal note for each! Question, do all guests get a thank card? I was thinking I should send one regardless of the gift to thank people for coming...is that odd? What did you do? Some people do postcards. Is that ok? Where did you buy them? How did you do the addressing (clear label, preprinted, written?) Feel free to share pictures!

I'm thinking something similar to this folded note card style.

Sweet but unnecessary, like favors and programs. We're using up the many sets of pretty blank cards we already have rather than ordering expensive new ones...plus, blank cards with wedding photos on them will have a pretty short shelf-life, so better be prepared to use them all within your first 6 months of marriage!

Hmmm...i had not thought of sending everyone a thank you as being passive aggressive if they did not bring a gift...but now that its been brought up maybe I should send thank you cards to the people who gave??? I'm not sure at this point...

Hi! What size did you order? I ordered 5x7 but I'm worried they will be too big.

Send thank-you notes to anyone who gave a gift or did a particular (unpaid) service for you. Send them now--at worst, within two weeks. Do not wait weeks to be able to include a picture of yourself. You are not the point; your gratitude is the point.

A thank-you note is handwritten in ink. And send by snail mail. It includes thanks and appreciation of the specific gift and mentions how happy both of you are to receive such a thoughtful present/something you desired so much/some particular expression of delight. Unless you write long, complex sentences, it is at least three sentences long or it will sound abrupt.

But speed is of the essence. Do not keep people hanging, wondering if you received their gift and liked it.
