Tell Me Your Parent Gift Ideas!

So I want to surprise my mom with a custom "Mother of the Bride" robe to get ready in to match my bride robe, and still thinking of options for my Dad. (Of course we'll provide them with pictures after the date.) Without them, our wedding wouldn't be possible, they have just gone above and beyond (dad is BUILDING and hand engraving our arbor! Mom has helped with absolutely everything, and they are together contributing the funds to make our personal DIY wedding happen.)

I would love to hear what everyone is doing for their parents and/or their fiance's parents!

I feel the exact same way. I plan on getting my mom a necklace with a thank you note. I plan on stitching a heart into the back of my dads tie like the picture. For his parents I plan on getting my FMIL a handkerchief with a nursery rhyme she use to read my fiancé. His dad will get cuff links. All ideas I got from Pinterest. There’s so many great ideas.

Wow that’s awesome! I have seen a lot of people do handkerchiefs for their dads. I think a hand written note would also be appreciated

His dad will get football tickets. My dad will get a rare book. His mom will get a custom carved jewelry box and my mom will get a custom silver mirror compact with a special engraving inside.

I’m kind of feeling stuck as well on this. At first I liked the personalized handkerchiefs, but I want something really special. I’m treating my mom & FMIL to their hair&makeup.
My parents are helping so much already with finding decor and personal details. My dad and I are going to build a paper moon together and I’m sure he will help set that up.
I love the tie idea! That brought tears to my eyes when I read it!

I ended up going small. I got my dad a cute tie patch with a note on it and my mom a personalized ornament since she collects special ornaments. For his parents... we didn’t really buy them a gift. His parents didn’t like the idea of a gift even though they’ve paid a lot of money. We are going to get nice cards and maybe gift cards for them

I plan on getting them either a wedding photo book after the wedding or some framed pictures from our wedding. They’re all sentimental so I know that will touch them more than any other gifts.
